Fordways Products Ltd was formed in 1984 by David Ford. David entered the UV industry in 1974 working for one of Europe's leading manufactures of UV and Infra-red Dryers. There he gained considerable experience in areas of the business ranging from assembly and wiring through to electrical design, test and R&D.
Fordways supplies FPL Power Controllers which are designed and manufactured for infra-red and hot air applications and also the Arc Drive 2000, a new electronic ballast specifically designed to control mercury arc lamps.
Picture Glaze, a division of Fordways has been running from the start providing miniature UV dryers for glazing photos onto plates, particularly popular in the giftware industry.
FPL Service Ltd was formed in 1991 by David Ford and Marc Boden to service and modify all types of UV and Infra-red dryers. FPL Service also supplies refurbished second-hand UV drying equipment.
Benford Drying Systems Ltd was formed in June 2001 by David and Marc to design, manufacture and install UV drying systems both for web and sheetfed presses, and other industrial applications.
